I came naturally into education; both my parents were teachers. However, my time in college was spent more often cutting and styling hair than studying. Deciding to follow my newfound passion, I exited college and enrolled in beauty school. There, I found my true love: helping others discover their beauty.
While working in the salon environment, I became aware of the need for and importance of more advanced training. This awareness brought my passion full circle. I loved teaching so much that I dedicated myself to teaching advanced cutting and styling techniques for many top hair care companies all over the United States.
I believe that working with hair is therapeutic for both the client and the stylist. My motivation for bringing Innersense forth, was a desire to create a space for stylists to recognize their uniqueness, and understand the profound healing that they bring to their clients by offering a relaxing space within their beauty environment.
Interests and Hobbies: I'm fortunate enough to love my work to the extent that it has become my leisure. I have my own space where I continually enjoy bringing out the best in people one hairstyle at a time. Next to styling, the two biggest joys in my life are my children. They continually amaze and delight me. I make meditation a daily practice and I have recently discovered Pilates. Outdoor activities such as hiking, or even just walking are a healing experience for me.
Music: I love dancing to a good disco beat or anything from the 1980's.
Movies: Although we got rid of our TV some time ago, it hasn't stopped me from watching movies. I enjoy goofy comedies such Don't Mess with the Zohan and Love Guru. My favorite shows are Thirty Rock and Saturday Night Live.
Books: I enjoy books about personal and business development. My favorite author and publisher is Louise Hay.
