Growing up around my mother and uncle, who were both beauty professionals, I guess I was destined for the business. As a teenager, I filled and labeled containers for my mothers cosmetic line in her Beverly Hills salon. Following in my her and my uncle's footsteps, I obtained my cosmetology license in 1978 and began my career in Los Angeles. My deep passion for the art of hair styling fueled my desire to learn more about the different facets of the beauty industry.

In 1985, I was offered a sales position with a hair care distributor in Southern California. My love for sales and education bolstered my rapid advancement up the corporate ladder. Over the next 22 years, I enjoyed working as a senior executive for several top professional hair care companies. I have had the privilege of developing and launching a number of succesful brands, while leading teams of very talented individuals in sales, marketing, and education.

As a beauty and wellness professional, I was becoming more and more aware of the impact toxins in the industry have on our environment and our bodies. When the Environmental Working Group released a study that found that the average woman, using 9 personal care products a day, exposes herself to 126 unique chemicals, I was surprised and wanted to develop a line of gentle, yet effective products for those customers who are seeking healthier alternatives. The big companies I worked for at the time had no interest in embracing the concept. Thus, Innersense was born. We have strived to remove all harsh, irritating, and allergenic ingredients and replace them with gentle, certified organic ingredients.
